It looks like a road to nowhere. Of course it is a road to somewhere. It leaves the coastal state highway and heads dead straight for seemingly miles, heading toward the mountain through farmland. I like to think it leads straight to the mountain top. There are lots of these side roads, all leading either directly toward the mountain or to the right, toward the coast. Two different destinations, same kind of road. The visual impact of the power-lines seem like good will totems, disappearing into nothingness. Yet, their very presence, a sign that this is, indeed, a road to somewhere.
